# On Perennialism

Perennialism is not syncretism.

It means extracting the common themes among religions. Rather than
forcefully mixing contradictory or unrelated ideas.

Similar to the Hermetic idea that while there are many gods so that
you should pray to them, there is the only God who is the source
of all those gods and the world. Maybe you could interpret those
gods as angels.

It means going higher. Rather than diplomacy at the same level.
